For someone who doesn't know too much about cars or care, I really liked the Genesis GV70. My brother has been looking for a car fit for his wife and recently showed me the Genesis GV70. My first impression was it looked powerful, sporty yet sleek. The interior immediately reminds of a cockpit inside an airplane with a clean and organized dashboard. Set to be relesed in the US in 2022, the GV70 is a smaller version of the GV80, Genesis's first SUV.
On the exterior, it will have the iconic Crest Grille, two-lined Quad Lamps and skid plates placed on the bottom of the bumper, this whole design reinforces it "athletic elegance" look. They have Sport package which has a larger, circular exhaust tips, a three-dimensional dark chrome pattern on the grille, and an exclusive bumper and wheels.
The GV70 will two engine choices: a turbocharged 2.5-liter inline-four that puts out 300 horsepower or a twin-turbo 3.5-liter V-6 which puts out 375 horsepower. It comes standard with four driving modes: Eco, Comfort, Sport, and Custom. A fifth mode, Sport Plus, is added with the Sport package.
Upon looking at the inside, it looks clutter free with slim vents, roomy and comfortable. I'm not sure about the half-popped up navigation menu screen, it would be amazing if it was more integrated and hidden inside the dashboard. It looks as if a tablet is sticking out of the dashboard. The estimated price for the standard GV70 is $39,000 while the Sporty package will be estimated $44,000. Genesis has not released much more information except for the standard information on this SUV but overall, I think the pricing is great for a luxury, sleek yet athletic looking SUV.
